2013 Fall Mission Pending…

Dear Friends & Supporters,

There are a lot of news and prayer items to share with you, so please get comfortable and be inspired!

In December 2012, we wrote telling you how our last mission trip revealed a lot of physical needs in Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Our Canadian government now recognizes our new humanitarian branch of Bibles for the Poor Society (BPS) called Waves of Mercy International.

Mission 2013 is scheduled for departure on November 1st and returning on December 21st, 2013. Again our focus is on Vanuatu and Solomon Islands in the South Pacific Ocean. For part of Mission 2013, we will have two other team members joining us. One highlight for our team will be to present the citizens of Vanuatu with a copy of their first Bible printed in 1863 (that’s 150 years ago) by a Canadian missionary named John Geddie along with John Ingles from England. This original copy will be on display, for all to share, in the newly constructed Archives Building in Port Vila as an important part of Vanuatu’s history.

A sincere ‘thank you’ for your prayers and generous giving towards Solomon Pijin Bibles. This year funds have allowed for BPS to purchase 1000 copies for distribution. We are trusting God to supply funds for this distribution in early December. Should funds allow, an Australian charity has purchased Bislama Bibles for Vanuatu that we have been asked to distribute as well.

With God’s direction, we are also hoping to help the hungry hospital patients at Atoifi with the creation of a community garden and purchase appliances and materials to build a kitchen.

Of course, the Jesus film equipment will be used everywhere we go too, so please be in prayer for all of the precious souls who will be invited to welcome Jesus into their lives and hearts each night.

Remember too, our team as we go out expecting God to use us to do great things, in His name and for His glory. We ask you to pray for our safety, health and continuous ability to hear from the Holy Spirit, as he leads us and that God will bind Satan and all of his wicked schemes to have us fail.
